ABOUT DR. PAULA MADDOX
HELPING LEADERS SUCCEED HAS BEEN PAULA’S PRIMARY ROLE FOR YEARS
Why?
BECAUSE SHE’S BEEN THERE!
Paula embarked on her professional journey in an entry-level position at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Soon, she ascended to leadership positions with the U.S. General Accounting Office (GAO) and General Services Administration (GSA), overseeing more than 25 million square feet of commercial office space and generating more than $26 million USD of revenue annually.
Throughout her tenure in leadership positions at these organizations, Paula consistently found herself approached by individuals—both peers and leaders—from various divisions seeking her guidance. They sought advice on multiple topics, including personal leadership development, strategic thinking, and translating AI capabilities and strategic transformation processes into clear business use cases for the government.
Upon receiving consistent feedback from C-Suite executives and peers alike, she pursued advanced degrees in leadership, including an M.S. in Management-Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership.
Her journey to success came with its share of growing pains and challenges. In fact, her journey of overcoming such challenges propelled her to diversify her career options and venture into leadership coaching and recently AI leadership strategy, transformation, and adoption. In post retirement, she has had the privilege of serving approximately 1,700 clients in 252 global companies and accumulating over 4,800 coaching hours. Her clients span the United States and fifty-eight countries worldwide. They represent various levels of their organizations and diverse professions, including banking, technology, aerospace, cryptocurrency, accounting, pharmaceuticals, film/entertainment, military, and government.
Paula thrives in building trusted, high-impact relationships by drawing energy from focused work with leaders navigating complex, high-stakes moments. As an AI Strategy Leader & Consultant, she helps executives and organizations adopt AI effectively by aligning strategy, human behavior, and execution, so AI initiatives move beyond experimentation and deliver measurable business outcomes.
With a foundation in global executive coaching, Paula brings a leadership-centered approach to AI leadership strategy and adoption. She supports leaders in strengthening the behaviors that make transformation succeed: clear communication, sound judgment, stakeholder influence, and the ability to create alignment across teams. Clients value her ability to translate ambiguity into a practical path forward to combine strategic rigor with the human dynamics that ensures change is sustainable.

VISION:
Paula envisions a future where enterprise leaders turn AI into a trusted, responsible, and scalable capability that’s embedded in how work gets done, so organizations achieve measurable performance gains while elevating human judgment, leadership, and accountability.
MISSION:
Paula partners with enterprise leaders to turn AI ambition into impact by integrating strategy, behavior change, and operational execution to deliver responsible, scalable value. Paula advises and coaches organizations on AI strategy and adoption by integrating business priorities, behavior change, and execution discipline, so AI becomes a durable capability, not a short-term initiative.
CORE VALUES:
Here are three core values that guide AI strategy, adoption, and integration:
1) Business-outcome clarity
We start with enterprise priorities and value drivers—not tools. Clear outcomes, decision criteria, and governance ensure AI investments produce measurable impact and results.
2) Adoption is a leadership discipline
AI transformation succeeds when leaders shape behavior: trust, accountability, capability, and change readiness. We design adoption so it is usable, responsible, and sustainable across teams.
3) Execution with operational rigor
Strategy becomes value through operating rhythms, workflow integration, and performance measurement. We move from pilots to repeatable delivery and scalability.
